Not Just the Girly Stuff

As much as we did all the girly stuff like playing dress up, playing the piano, cleaning the house and cooking; we did the boy stuff. Seeing as there were no boys, we learned to do what a son would typically do. We learned to mow the lawn, change tires, ride a four wheeler, play or work in the dirt, back up trailers, go hunting and fishing and we were taught to work hard and play hard. My parents were very diligent in making sure we were well rounded girls. I am thankful every day that I can pop the hood of my car and know a little bit about whats happening. I am grateful I water-ski and snowmobile. I am thankful I was taught to work hard and to work even harder for the things I want. I am grateful for all of the skills I have learned!
